Summary
Takemura Goro has been outcast and shunned from Arasaka, being discarded after his use has run out. His friendship with V has all been destroyed after her betrayal leading to a full on attack on Arasaka Tower. The Relic has since been removed, leaving V lonely and grieving, having Johnny Silverhand ripped from her after bonding with him. Rather than seeking glory, she now seeks a cure and chose to live the rest of her short life in quiet, relative peace.
Takemura is now stranded in Night City, with no funds to his name, no way to head back to his home land, and not the slightest idea on what his next step in life is. Having no other options, he must now turn to his friend turned enemy for help. Despite their new, heavy animosity towards one another, V and Takemura partner up once again, as she teaches this old dog new tricks on how to survive in the streets of Night City, as well as showing him that his new found freedom is not as bad as he thinks it is.
