LINK: Have you ever died before?

THE CONSTRUCT: I am a construct, Link. We are not born, and we cannot die.

[The campfire whimpers and sputters. They both turn to stare at the empty husk of another deceased construct rotting nearby.]

THE CONSTRUCT WHO IS NOT BORN AND CANNOT DIE: …we cannot die in the same way our creators did.

LINK: But surely it must be similar.

THE CONSTRUCT: I wouldn’t know. Can a machine die like a heart stops beating?

[Xenomelia (“foreign limb syndrome,” previously known as Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID)): A psychological disorder characterized by the non-acceptance of one or more of one’s own extremities and the resulting desire for elective limb amputation or paralysis]

    Summary

Amnesia was a funny thing. It strips you of all memories, both good and bad. But what it didn't take away from Link was his caring heart. All he cared about was doing what was right. But just because Link had no memories, or any interest to reclaim them, didn't mean they wouldn't return to haunt him.

Ever since Link woke up, strange things have been happening around the land. Horrific creatures begin appearing at night to terrorize the denizens of Hyrule. Link, not one to simply let such evils do as they please, decides to investigate into the matter as he tried to find a way to destroy them.

But as he investigates, he is haunted by his past. Link's mind cannot remember what happened. But his heart did. He still feels his failures weighing on him. That's what draws something toward Link, the very same evil that created the creatures he faces. It follows and watches him from the shadows, taunting him, waiting for him to remember the past he's forgotten, waiting for the pain to resurface, waiting for the time he can no longer carry the weight of it all.

How long can a disgraced hero last in the face of his failures?

    Summary

It turns out that the death of the Calamity doesn't prevent more things from falling apart.

A year after the fall of Calamity Ganon, eighteen year old Link goes back in time to before the end of the world, before the fall of Hyrule, before he ever even drew his sword, and starts to fix things before they can go wrong. It takes a while before he realizes he might be able to regain pieces of himself, too.

He's been resurrected from the dead and there’s a dead-but-not princess scattered among the stars waiting for him to kill the devil so she can be resurrected too.

“I’ve got plans, you know?" He flashed a half-grin, because they definitely didn't know. "I’ve got business to finish before I settle in.”

A chronicle of Link's journey processing the trauma of the Calamity during the events of the game, feat. Mahler's Kindertotenlieder and Symphony no. 2 "Resurrection".
