    I Always found it amusing that Dr McCoy was the only one in the TV series that actually pointed his fazer in the right direction. This is a story building on why that would be.

    The Enterprise is going on a standard diplomatic mission to the planet Cheronis Four. This looked like an everyday mission to shake hands and make friends for the Federation. So why are there strangers in the shadows, faults appearing on the enterprise and a growing number of odd habits that no one can make sense of surrounding one Chief Medical Officer.

    the Guardian's field when the world turned are the only ones alive who
    know that anybody is missing.

    Christopher Pike, who walks into it with his eyes open, for eleven
    cadets and a man he never met.
