    (This fic was written after the author has seen episode 7, but before the author has seen episode 8. The author is more interested in the idea of Caine and Jax being narrative foils than she is in the idea of them having a genuinely abusive relationship. This story includes some spicy bits that are easily skipped - though you might miss some slapstick and character development if you choose to avoid them. This story is mostly comedy, though that might just be to make the tragedy hit all the harder. The author is gender-fluid, pansexual, polyamorous, demiromantic, ADHD, autistic, and heavily projecting. Please heed the tags, and enjoy the show!)
