    This was some good down bad Rosalie x internalized homophobia Bella stuff. I love some of the changes they’ve made to other characters like the nomad trio. Victoria actually being Bella’s therapist was cute. 13 chapters as of now and Bella literally just found out she is Rosalie’s mate. I hope more comes out

    This is a really good eclipse canon divergence showing what Rosalie would have done if the canon had actual respect for her background and character. It has a glacial burn but I don’t hate it since neither of them knows they have feelings. It’s just a vibe right now. On chapter 27 and hope updates start up again.

    This is the best true Bella Alice twilight rewrite I’ve read. They don’t fall into the other pit falls like following the original twilight beat for beat. They add some interesting new lore like around Alice’s backstory. The set up is even different with only Edward and Alice doing school. Oh and the best thing is that Bella is actually a character with some depth to her. The author writes what they know too which makes it feel grounded. Read the sequel too and it is a great follow up that makes the events of eclipse even more tense but also satisfying. Also Carmella is not only a character but revealed to be Bella’s mom which was sick. Feel stupid for not recognizing the “mircalla” anagram. Hope they come back to wrap this up because this is a fun development.

    Meanwhile, Jasper hasn’t been Jasper Hale for quite some time.

    And for several years, that is more or less that. Bella gets a degree, and then a job. The Cullens fall apart in increasingly spectacular fashion. Peter and Charlotte start to socialize, Rosalie begins asking questions she probably should have asked decades ago, and the vampire world carries on being much larger and considerably more political than Bella ever knew.

    Then a red-headed vampire realizes Isabella Swan isn’t dead.

    Unfortunately for everyone involved, quite a few vampires have been making plans on the assumption that she is.

    This one is a banger for sure. The gist of it is Bella is left in new moon but winds up being found by Volturi and the victim of a hunt in which the coven that retrieves her gets to sire her and thus have the power of her shield. There is tons of political stuff under this that makes it make perfect sense but this is like the core.

    In the best way, this story reminds me of early game of thrones with just less main character death and like fucked up sex. The multiple POVs really feel balanced and exciting to read just like looking at Robb starks plot vs Arya vs Sansa. The additions to vampire society to make it more complex were also extremely welcome. The aria sera was a cool idea with certain humans being hunted for the right to sire them. It also had a slow start like GOT but absolutely necessary all the same because all of the little bits of information pay off at some point down the line. Ex. It’s hella clever and subtle too but makes perfect sense once revealed. The fights are so fun and all the characters are really good. The romance between Bella and Jasper was good too with all the fun tropes like our lovers on the run, forced proximity, blood drinking turned intimacy, and more.

    I think this is up there as the best Bella Jasper fic I’ve read. Certainly the best with this balance of politics, combat and POVs. It is also probably one of my favorite long Twilight fics period. At chapter 99 out of 100, so we are at the finish line. So happy that it’s still being updated and will be so happy to see this completed (universe willing). Can’t wait to re-read this sometime in the future.

    This was an interesting one. It had a cool premise with Bella being sent to military school and gaining experience and confidence before getting sucked into the Volturi. I like having a few human chapters showing Bella coming into her own. Once Bella did join the Volturi I liked all the shenanigans like the blood room or even modernizing the organization. That was all fun and made the Volturi fun. My favorite part has been this queer relationship between Bella and Char. Very uncommon pairing idea but they were so cute. I wasn’t expecting for them to be that sweet. At chapter 43 now and we are finally at the catharsis of Edward finally learning how much he fucked up. The revenge is already so sweet
