Summary
Benedict Bridgerton is a franchise superhero trying to prove he can act. Sophie Baek is an HBO actress trying to prove she can't be consumed. They're cast opposite each other in a remote indie film about trust, deception, and what gets buried under ice. Forced proximity. A skeleton crew. Spotty phone signal. When the stupid, magnificent disaster of falling in love unfolds against the Canadian Rockies, the film they're making becomes indistinguishable from the film they're living.

Summary
Three years ago, in the drawing room at Bridgerton House, Violet had placed a small ring box before her second son and watched the storm pass across his face.
“Do you fear she will say no, dearest?”
Benedict’s eyes had remained fixed upon the ring.
He swallowed.
“I fear she will say yes, Mother.”
Now, in the very same drawing room, Violet Bridgerton stood before her son with tears in her eyes, bringing him the saddest news of all, news concerning the man who had been brave when Benedict could not.
“It is Sophie’s husband, dearest. There was a hunting accident.”
Her voice broke.
“He has died.”
