It’s cold and wet, and Mike hears running in the distance.
He turns and points his flashlight with a shaky hand, and the first thought that he thinks is he has found Will. The relief that hits him for the brief split second nearly makes him cry with relief, but then he blinks the rainwater out of his eye, and realizes this is not his friend. It’s just some girl in a baggy shirt and no shoes.
His second thought, of course, is that he’s finally found another witch outside his family.
