Unfortunately, he finds himself trapped in a dead end area of the island. But luck is on his side. Another notorious pirate just so happens to be there to help him out.

Without Taro, Shin would surely fall. Even so, he tries desperately to pull himself up, to continue in a way that makes something in Taro’s chest break itself open and empty out onto the grimy asphalt road.
“Now we– store?” He asks, one hand coming up to paw at Taro’s forearm. “Don’t– I don’t have my uniform, sorry. I think– did I forget it?”
It’s nearing ten pm. The store wouldn’t be open even if this were an average work day, and even if it were ten am on an average work day, the store would still be closed, because Shin is running a fever high enough to fry an egg and the rest of their family is worried sick about it.
