    I've always thought that quite a bit must have happened between Fan Changyu and Xie Zheng in Lucheng. I mean, they go from Changyu pushing him away at the beginning of their time there to her running openly into his arms when she sees him in the capital. He also goes from being careful around her to striding confidently into her mansion and openly declaring their marriage. So I decided to write what I imagined the process to be, and what might have happened to dissolve their doubts and strengthen their marriage while they were in Lucheng. (Also that window kiss deserves to be revisited 😅)
