Summary
Meet Bokuto Koutarou, newly crowned god of safe travel.
Koutarou knows he’s a vital god, good at his job too. He is friends with all of the local spirits, takes his godly duties very seriously, and does his best not to cause trouble for all the other gods. In return, he is revered often in the form of salutations to loved ones such as “get home safe!”, “have a safe trip”, and the occasional opulent “Bon Voyage”. Sure, it’s not a direct address to him, but he receives these well wishes and considers them prayer adjacent enough to send down his blessings– so yeah, he’d definitely say he’s important, benevolent, kind – and if asked, he’d confirm how much he loves helping the humans. It’s a duty and an honor.
But on occasion, he thinks the humans are a little… ungrateful towards him.

Meanwhile, Bokuto Koutarou is your"average" 4th year sports science student and starting member of their collegiate volleyball team. He doesn't quite have time to date nor does he particularly have plans for it unlike the rest of his peers, but he makes due, living vicariously through fictional characters pining after one another. His latest fixation- "Pending in Progress", especially the mysterious side character that seems to be featured everywhere.
What are the odds that two chance encounters and a bond forged in a sea of pining idiots could lead to a whirlwind romance of their own? At least, that's how it works in fiction, amirite?

Summary
After somehow managing to become boyfriends with one Oikawa Tooru, Wakatoshi finds himself pondering how exactly they came to be. They didn't exactly start on the best foot. Not to mention, their teams had been rivals for so long, he assumed there would be some sort of opposition (they were all quite supportive actually).
Perhaps it was wishful thinking to have expected the same level of acceptance from everyone.
