Your lungs begin to burn. “Come back here, divine beast!” one screams. “I won't lose the greatest sacrifice to our cause!”
Their voices seems to echoes in the daunting forest. You zip and turn. Hitting hard lefts and rights. Barely jumping over logs. Something jumps out and you bleat out a scream. One thought comes to mind.
A giant worm snapping at you and bites straight into your leg. You stumble back and slam into the ground. Dizzy you stare up and are temporarily blinded by an open patch in the trees. A figure stands over you with a sunny halo.
“So…this is them?”
You sob. “Pl…please! Help me!”
They step around you. The teeth on your leg retreats as you hear an animalistic yelp. You barely get into a sitting position when a flash of red catches your attention. You look up—!
“Go hide,” they don't turn to you.
You crawl hurriedly into a bush. Your mind spins, you…you remember now.
