    “I might be your maid for the day,” Lumine mumbled, fingers tightening in the fabric of his robes. “But I have no intention of becoming your source of entertainment, goshujin-sama.”

    She barely caught the way his violet eyes darkened the moment the title left her lips in his native tongue before she turned around, having every intention of changing back into the first dress and call it a day, but before she could reach the door, he had already moved.

    Lumine sharply inhaled when he harshly pulled her back and straight into his muscular chest, eyes flying open wide in alarm when she found her face inches away from Ayato’s and when his hand reached up to grab her chin, he pulled her closer until their lips were nearly brushing.

    “You should know that I don’t tolerate disobedience.” Ayato mumbled, the firmness of his voice making her heart race in her chest and when his eyes dropped to her slightly parted lips, his own curved upwards into a dangerous smile. “Allow me to remind you of your place, my little maid.”
