Summary
Will has had night terrors for years, ever since he’d been rescued from the upside down. He wakes up screaming when this happens. Mike runs downstairs to comfort him. Intense pining, flustered cuddling and desperate kissing ensues.
“You were screaming,” Mike says breathlessly, “I heard it from upstairs and ran down. Are you okay?”
His eyebrows are drawn together, his lips frowning, and all I can think about in this state is how cute he looks.“Mm okay…Sorry,” I add sheepishly.
I hear him sigh in relief, but his hands remain on my shoulders. Not that I minded.
“You gonna be okay?” He says worriedly. And then… “Can I stay?” He asks in this quiet, shaky voice that almost went unheard.

Will’s face, barely visible in the dark of night— the theater had closed just a few minutes ago, removing the neon glare of the entrance signs and leaving only the parking lot lights to illuminate Will’s beauty. It was enough for Mike, however. Seeing just the slope of his nose and the curve of his lashes broke his heart into a million and one pieces, over and over again. As Will prepared to respond, Mike’s gaze flickered down to his pink, dampened lips, stained from the cherry Icee he'd had earlier. He was incomprehensibly, ineffably, beautiful.
