Summary
After the death of her friend Amethyst decided to get a tattoo in memory of her. She went into the shop not expecting one of the artists there to be really freaking cute. Peridot is this tattoo artist and she found Amethyst very refreshing. The problem is the other tattoo artist working at the shop; a very jealous woman with a huge chip on her shoulder and a rough past.
(Heavily spurred on by Raising the Barn and Back to the Kindergarten.)
Work started on this in 2018; before the movie and SUF.

It all started with Peridot begging to do Pearl's hair, and as a show of their recently strengthened friendship Pearl actually agreed. One photoshoot later and Pearl found herself on the way to a rock show and speeding off into the night chasing after a beautiful woman.
This takes place in the same universe as my current longfic "Not Everything is Permanent" but it is most certainly not required reading. This works perfectly fine as its own little thing.

One night Lapis took Peridot to a club where she met up with a cool and gorgeous girl named Amethyst. She exchanged phone numbers and kept in touch. Then one day Peridot saw Amethyst at work and managed to ask her to hang out with her. The rest will unfold with time.
