Summary
His friend seemed to hesitate at the end of the alley, one foot half off the ground and turning to Qifrey with a questioning expression that seemed to say a million things at once. Is this okay? Are you ready to meet them all? Are you alright?
Qifrey knew he was asking them all and more. Asking them despite knowing. He tried to remember the last time he'd known thirteen people well. The last time he'd truly known thirteen people at all. Maybe he'd had siblings too, before the Brimmed Caps got to him. Maybe he'd had a house like this, in a street like this, in a city like this. Maybe he'd been loved.
Qifrey simply nodded once, giving him a gentle shoulder bump that sent a jolt of pain down his arm. Damn that stupid tree.
"Let's go.” He smiled despite the ache. “I’m ready to set these cases down, aren’t you?”
Following the successful removal of Qifrey’s Silverwood, Olruggio takes him and the apprentices on a well-deserved holiday to his hometown of Ghodrey. Healing, comfort, and plenty of fluff ensues.

Reki's father doesn't exist in the show, so I made him a piece of shit, his mom did her best but her best wasn't much, and Reki has never really had anyone take care of him the way he should have. But Joe and Cherry are gonna do their best to fix that.

Qifrey meant to say he was fine, that he was just remembering their days as apprentices, that Agott was settling in well, or even that Olly was so good with her.
What he actually said was, “What if she drowns in the bath?”
