“Yesterday was your birthday?” Satoru asks, his voice small.
Suguru grimaces. “I guess. Technically.”
“Technically?” Satoru repeats. “The fuck does that mean?”
“Well, yes, yesterday was my birthday. But it isn’t a big deal -”
“Isn’t a big deal?”
Shoko chuckles as she pours a handful of coffee beans into the canister. “Oh, boy.”
“Your birthday isn’t about you, Suguru! It’s a chance for people to show you how much they appreciate you! It’s a chance for them to show you how much they care, and you - you robbed me of that, you jerk!”
Turning to Shoko, he adds, “Can you believe this?”
“Not at all,” she deadpans, grinning. “Suguru, you asshole.”
Suguru hates them both so much.
Suguru Geto has always hated his birthdays. Meeting Satoru Gojo makes them infinitely better.

Summary
"That's it?"
It's such a small reason, one that Suguru thought would be something like; personal insecurities, which, like hell somebody like Satoru would have. Or, Satoru being insecure with something about him like being a whiney man-child, or anything rather that he thought was serious. But this? Suguru swears that he's really trying his best not to laugh at Satoru.
Satoru isn't looking at him, he isn't looking at him because he's too embarrassed by what he just said and he feels like Suguru is judging him by now. Even he agrees that it's such an absurd circumstance to have that made this entire situation in the first place, and it only made it more awkward, the silence between the two only making the air around them even worse and tense than it already is.

Suguru notices that Satoru's been shy around him lately, and it's his job to find out why. -

Summary
Satoru had dreams, way back when, before the world seemingly ended.
Satoru had people he loved before he fell and lost them all to his own shortcomings.
But dreams are nothing more than dreams, and his love is a curse.
His death has been written in the history book since the day he was born, but history is bound to forget his name. His sacrifices will leave their impact on the world and the people who used to be in his life, but he can't help but think that it must be better to forget the face and the name tied to those sacrifices.
Why spend time wishing for something that was never meant to be?
