    Scott let the words hang in the air between them. Shane was pointedly not making eye contact with him, but Scott powered on. It was now or never.

    The shade of red that Hollander was turning would have almost been comical if it hadn’t been for the deathly stillness that had overcome him. Several emotions flashed across his face in quick succession before he must have realised he was being wayyyyyy too obvious, and he settled on a hard-fought look of confused neutrality.

    After coming out to Rose, Shane decides he doesn't want to lie anymore, even if he isn't sure coming out will mean he gets happily ever after with Ilya. When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.

    Through the rest of high school, marriage, parenthood, retirement, and beyond, Tohru and Kyo will navigate life's joys and sorrows together. With their friends, found family, and the family they create, life will be eventful and ultimately full of joy.

    The days of the Curse are over, and it's time to embrace the future.

    This work is a chronological consolidation of my post-canon continuation series 'Always and Forever,' containing every previously published chapter from every work in the series (plus more!), starting the day the Curse broke and spanning the rest of Tohru and Kyo's lives.
