Liam rubs a hand down his face and groans. Louis briefly considers suggesting he tries a calming breathing technique, but he thinks Liam might actually hit him if he does.
“What on earth were you thinking leaving the doors open?”
It’s Louis’ turn to groan, but he does it internally. They’ve been through this several times already. “Like I said,” Louis answers, trying to keep his tone level and not show his irritation at the whole fuss. “I thought she was inside, and I was only in there for a minute to top up the swimming pond. How was I to know she was hiding in the long grass?”
“How were you to know?” Liam’s voice has increased in both volume and pitch, and his face is going red. “It’s your fucking job to know, Louis! What the actual fuck? You never, never leave the enclosure gates open! That’s fucking zookeeper 101! Jesus Christ, you’re so fired once we get her back.”
OR
Louis is really bad at his job, Harry saves the day and Susanne is a bitch.

Harry narrows his eyes. “To be frank with you Louis, I don’t really have time for that. And even if I did, I don’t really care.”
Louis’ brows raise in shock but he seems to mask it quickly enough. “You’re planning to defend me in court and you don’t even want to know if I’m guilty of a heinous crime?” Louis sounds genuinely curious.
(Or the one where human lawyer Harry Styles is defending Louis Tomlinson, a witch accused of using black magic to kill another witch. Louis most definitely uses black magic, but Harry believes him when he says he didn’t kill anyone. Can they prove Louis’ innocence before the real killer gets to them first?)
