“Because I’m one of the few people who could track you down,” she explained honestly.
No one believed he had survived. Everyone lauded his efforts in the war and was content to leave him as a history footnote, but she knew better. She knew that unless she saw his body, she wasn’t sure he was truly dead. And there was a part of her that felt smug, as the fruit of her nearly ten year search was in front of her. Severus Snape had survived, and that bought closure to a burden she carried since the war.
