Summary
Between the three of them — Marc and Steven and Jake — the only one with any experience living with another person is Marc, and that relationship ended up with him fleeing from his partner and some unsigned divorce papers.
Living together now is a learning curve for all of them.

(or, a slight canon divergence from ep 6; what comes after for a former gift shopist, an avatar for a moon deity, a minted taxi cab driver, a sorta ex-wife who is also an avatar for a hippo deity now, a local egyptian god, and their three goldfish)

Summary
Layla froze on the sidewalk, bracing one hand against the building as she cocked her head, eyeing the man up ahead who was speaking, lingering just past the crosswalk.
It… was that Marc? Steven?
It couldn’t be. She knew Marc spoke passing Spanish, but nothing with the speed and fluency that this person was. She couldn’t even be sure it was him—it wouldn’t make any sense, anyhow. Just, the stature—she’d grown so familiar with his body that it was a knee-jerk reaction to recognize him in a crowd. It was how she’d found him in Cairo.

Truth is nobody knows what to make of Dean.
