Summary
Astarion leaned against the railing of the balcony, sipping blood from a wine flute while watching the sunlight sparkle and shimmer across the surface of Deepwater Harbour.
He fiddled idly with the ring on his finger, the sole reason he was able to stand out here completely unharmed, enjoying the cool spring breeze as golden light warmed his skin.
Astarion (now with the ability to walk in the sun) is faced with the difficult task of figuring out what to do with himself now. Gale on the other hand, finds himself dealing with unexpected echoes of the past, needing to confront things he’d really have rather left alone.
Updates every other Friday, alternating with my other fic: Sunlight Through the Curtains.

Summary
After finally killing Cazador Szarr, Astarion thought his life would get better, that he would get better and be free to live his life just how he and Gale pictured. Sometimes that's not the case when your abuser of over 200 years dies, leaving you to your own devices, thoughts and feelings. Astarion struggles to deal with his new life, and somehow he fucks it all up even more spectacularly than even he thought. Gale never stood a chance.

Summary
“I found it,” he said, more carefully now.
Astarion stared at him for a long moment, then very deliberately set down what he had been holding, as if distance alone might improve his ability to process reality. “Start again. Slower. Preferably with fewer crimes against logic.”
“I didn’t steal it,” Gale said immediately, offended on principle more than anything else. “I found it.”
Astarion blinked once. “You found it.”
“Yes.”Bookmarked by Lemonbutton
