Mephone has always been terrified of Cobs, but the brain can only take so much scrutiny. Mephone snaps after Cobs hurts his contestants. With a new crack in his screen, the reappearance of a power Mephone thought had vanished, and Cobs(?) always looking over his shoulder, it's a miracle the man hasn't had a heart attack yet.

Of course, those statistics are only possible due to small breaks in the monotony; the odd neutral run here and there.
But do a few neutral endings in a sea of death and despair really matter all that much in the grand scheme?
Sans doesn't think so.Not once, in 110 resets, has Sans seen the sun.
And not once, in 87 genocides, has Sans been able to keep his brother from being murdered in Snowdin.
This time, however, that all changes.
His little brother was going to live, no matter the consequences.
Reset #111. Genocide #13.
Or alternatively: Red tries to be a good brother and ends up no-clipping into another, softer, reality. Angst, shenanigans, and character arcs ensue.

The story of Scout when he is first hired onto RED, set in an alternate universe where people’s souls take the shape of animals called dæmons, à la His Dark Materials. It follows him as he meets his unusual teammates and their often equally unusual dæmons and adjusts to his new life and roll on the RED team, forging bonds and uncovering secrets about his teammates and their dæmons alike — some of which he would have preferred to have stayed a secret. All the while attempting to maintain the lie that he has a perfectly normal, settled dæmon.
