When he wakes up in the dark, bound, a rag in his mouth, Tim’s initial response is annoyance. He’s busy — he’s got three cases wrapping up, there’s an important vote of the board coming up, he’s finally almost nailed the latest update to his suit — and he really doesn’t have time for a kidnapping or an interrogation or a torture session or whatever the hell this is. It’s only when he shifts and a smaller body, at his back, shifts against him that his heart rate kicks up. It’s only when his hands reach out and the hands that meet his are small and gloved and Damian’s that his annoyance is swamped in terror.

Silence fell over the cave, even the constant echo of bats going still. Tim hated silences. Hot tears pricked at Tim’s red eyes, still glaring into Dick’s eyes.
Falling back on a step, Tim valiantly ignored their crowd, ever so silent during their screaming match. He swallowed, hand automatically falling against the scar over where his spleen used to be, one he’s tried very hard to hide.

And like that it became a routine. Patty would drag them along if they were interested every week to clean up the office. The place was never in use when they were there, but clearly was inhabited.
And as time went on they learned more and more. It was home base and where everyone crashed when not cleaning up Redgrave. Though Patty never clarified what they were cleaning up.
The office was in varying states of mess whenever they dropped in. Sometimes there were pizza boxes scattered around days old. Other times there wasn't much to clean up at all. And it seemed with them proving themselves not to get into trouble, Patty gave them more and more tasks.
