Summary
“My pack hates me.”
It doesn’t even sound right to Hongjoong — doesn’t fit with the memories trailing out far behind him, doesn’t suddenly click with the tumult in his head. It’s easy to claim, easy to say, but it doesn’t make sense, not with the long history of love they shared, not with the way Yunho carefully dried his hair, with San crying over the thought he hurt his Luna, with Seonghwa holding him so close and keeping him safe, with Jongho pulling him aside to check in and Mingi’s terror over his disappearance and Yeosang promising Hongjoong he could scent him when he got home. Not with Wooyoung making him promise to tell the pack, reassuring him that they want to help, asking him to trust them.
It doesn’t feel like hate. None of it does.
—
Everything's ruined — and it's all Hongjoong's fault. He ran from his pack. He kept secrets. He never wanted to hurt them. But everything's broken now.
Devastated by their Luna's disappearance, the pack has no choice but to sift through the wreckage of the last two months and realize Hongjoong was hurting far more than they knew — and it was all their fault.
They don't know where to start. But they're going to fix this. They have to.
