    2. ten minutes max afterward.
    3. no softness.
    4. outside this room, nothing changed.

lance could stop thinking about the rules. honestly, the rules made sense. they were logical. they were practical.

he couldn’t, however, stop thinking about that stupid kiss that had ruined his stupid life.

(or: four rules designed to keep two frontline paladins from crashing their lions into a star, and the single coalition banquet where every last one of them goes up in flames.)

or: trapped in an alien monarch's brutal simulation after rejecting keith’s confession, lance can easily save the universe, the war, and his entire team but keith dies every single time.

    Summary

“Hurry,” Lance urges with a gasp, clutching harder at the stands with both hands poised on them for support now, palms slick with sweat, “They’re going to find us like this if we don’t hurry, oh my God.”

A deep chuckle tickles over his ear, almost rivaling the pounding of blood in them.

    “Let them.”
