“Besides,” Wallace starts, peeking into the barren cupboard as though something will change if he only waits it out patiently enough (story of his life, huh?), “Sparks aren’t real. What are you, twelve?”
There’s too long of a pause, and he wonders if Scott fully switched tasks from ‘talking to Wallace,’ to ‘playing Tetris inside his brain,’ until he turns around (sans snack, sadly), to see Scott staring bug-eyed at him. “What?” he asks.
Suddenly propelled into motion, Scott rotates himself clockwise back into an upright position. “Wallace, sparks do too exist,” he says. “It’s like, the best part of kissing.”
