After TC and Rick head for La Mariana to close up, Thomas sits down next to Juliet and she takes his hand in hers. She's been wanting the comfort of their closeness since they escaped being buried over a case of exorbitantly expensive whiskey and finally, she can relish in it. In return, he pulls her close, wrapping his arm around her completely and she leans close into him, his warmth, his security.
For a while, they don't say anything. She knows he must be processing the revelations around Captain Greene's death but she won't push him to talk about it more than he wants to; more than he's ready to.

Ethan holds her hand as he dozes and she smiles looking at him. Yes, she didn't want to have to regret not trying with him, especially now that she has told him about her past.
Truthfully, she'd been ready to cut her losses, to move on but his admission that he'd made a mistake was like the sun shining on her, that he didn't reject her for who she had been, for what she had done but rather accepted her for who she was.

Summary
When Tim will try to remember this day, after this day, there will be blanks. Like the day Mitch lost his leg. Like the first time a civilian died in front of him. Like that one particularly bad time with his dad. There wasn’t a pattern to what stayed and what went, he had learned. Some things, the brain clung to, even if he would rather forget them. Other things, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t recall. So he doesn’t remember, after this day, what he and Chen were talking about in the shop as they rolled up to the scene. He doesn’t remember arriving after the suspect had already been secured, so they thought, or turning back to the shop.
Angela has had to tell him about how she called out “gun!” when the suspect they thought was secure reached for a weapon they hadn’t realized he had on him.
He and Lucy fit their patchwork memories together, like the worst kind of puzzle pieces, and so she’s the one who tells him about how they both drew their weapons as the first shot rang out.
OR
Lucy gets shot on duty and Tim does *not* take it well.
