Summary
Shuriken missed Vine Staff.
She sees her everyday, but it’s not the same.
Instead of running through a nearby field until one of them topples over (the other soon following from laughter), Vine Staff walks through the house at most. Rather than going out to pick blackberries until their hands were purple, Shuriken brings meals up to Vine Staff’s room and later finds it mostly untouched, a contrast to all the times with the blackberries; their faces would be stuffed and they’d eat more than they brought home.
Shuriken never goes out to find blackberries anymore. What fun is it without their dear sibling by their side?Bookmarked by Lobsters_Sock

Summary
Lampert had accepted that Kasper was gone forever a long time ago, so when Dr. Retro found a way to treat the virus that took him away, he wanted to believe that everything would be able to be just how it was before he got sick, and that they could leave the infection in the past.
Unfortunately, treating the virus was the easy part, as Kasper now has to put himself back together after losing two years of his life to a parasitic infection that may never be truly gone, and Lampert is forced to accept that while Kasper may be back in his life, he's far from the person that he was when he lost him.
