Summary
Alastor’s ear twitched. In a blur of motion, his own hand shot up, fingers clamping around the clone's wrist with an iron grip. His head whipped around, eyes blazing crimson, static spiking sharp enough to make the lights flicker.
“What in the seven rings do you think you’re—!”
The clone vanished in a puff of red sparkles.
Alastor blinked at empty air.
And then two very real, very warm hands slid enthusiastically behind both of his ears.
“Gotcha.”
Alastor’s entire body went rigid for one glorious heartbeat.
Then it melted.
A loud, rumbling deer mew burst out of him, his eyes flew wide, then fluttered half-closed in instant bliss. The book slipped from limp fingers and landed with a soft thud on the carpet. His head unconsciously fell back against the couch cushion, pressing eagerly into Lucifer’s hands.
OR
Alastor has been more annoyed than the usual lately, which causes concern among the residents. After discovering the problem, another one arises, as no one would dare touch Alastor's ears and risk losing a limb. Thankfully, there's only one person who can touch Alastor without dying immediately.

His shadow tries to press its head against Lucifer’s thigh, and if Alastor leans over to rub his cheek against his own shoulder, perhaps his can pretend to feel his lovers skin against his own.
“I-“ the radio crackles, “m- ss you.”
Lucifer laughs. It’s a devastating sound. “When are you coming home?”
Alastor pauses, clenching his hands until his claws find holes into his palms. “..Soon.”
Hopefully.
OR; while captured, Alastor misses someone. It’s an odd thing.

(Alastor is content with the current landscape of his not-quite-relationship with Lucifer. Or rather, he is until he has to grapple with his own jealousy.)

(Alastor and Lucifer defend the hotel, fight about it, and Alastor comes to the unfortunate realization that he stopped playing a game with Lucifer’s feelings a long time ago.)

Summary
“Why do you still wear it?”
Lucifer jumps, only now realizing that he had been twisting the wedding ring on his finger. Alastor watches him with a strange mix of apathetic curiosity, almost as if he doesn’t really care about Lucifer’s answer at all.
“I don’t know,” he says distractedly, looking down at the gold band that sits as familiar on his hand as his own skin. “I don’t really remember what it’s like to not wear it.”
(Depression is Lucifer’s most familiar enemy and the next time he’s struck by it, Alastor, in a bid to cheer him up, brings up Lucifer’s long-overdue divorce. It works, oddly enough.)

Thankfully, this works wonderfully for him considering how desperate Lucifer is to form a single meaningful relationship in his sad little life.

When Lucifer only blinked up at him, dark brows pinching in a tiny furrow of confusion, Alastor's smile twitched. He dipped into his power and let his eyes close, calling up a faint trickle of his strength – just enough to set the scar on his forehead glowing.
When he opened his eyes, Lucifer's expression had softened. One of his hands left Alastor's hip, reaching up to sweep his bangs aside.
“I remember these. Your death marks,” Lucifer murmured, tilting his head and squinting one eye, clearly still struggling to recollect the rest of that particular situation. “Remind me what you asked for, in exchange for showing them to me?”

Summary
There were few things in this world that caught Alastor's attention quite like the prospect of murder and mayhem. Untethered violence just had a certain... je ne sais quoi about it, something Alastor couldn't readily explain.
Of course, he'd had to expand his horizons when it came to acknowledging what brought him joy – because the pint sized king sitting on the edge of the dressing table, his thighs parted around Alastor's hips so his legs wouldn't be in the way and his hands sitting comfortably on Alastor's waist – well.
That was a newer development, in the grand scheme of things.

Alastor was starting to feel more like himself again. His strength had returned, bit by bit – he'd even managed to get up and shower under his own steam that very morning, not stumbling on his way to the bathroom once. An achievement for the ages. Somebody ought to present him with a ribbon.
(He would not mention that little jest to Charlie, for fear that she actually would.)
Naturally, as he started to grow stronger – so too did his curiosity. He had a plethora of questions that remained unanswered, and not all of them concerned his own missing memories.
