Summary
Viktor had survived, and that was a mistake.
He was going to make Viktor regret that mistake. He was going to make Viktor wish he’d just kept still, instead of screaming for help. Death would be kind compared to what Jayce was going to do to him.
Despite being saved by a lucky jogger, Viktor lives in fear of what happened that night. The memories of that man pinning him down haunt his every waking moment, and his survivor's group is his safe space. There's a kind man there who makes everyone feel a little more comfortable, who is nice enough to offer help Viktor get home safe when his usual ride can't pick him up.
Jayce is haunted too, but by the insult that was Viktor's escape instead of trauma. Viktor is the only thing he can think of every day, and he finally sees his opportunity to make Viktor pay for daring to escape his grasp. In Jayce's own mind he's like a God, and denying a God is one of the worst mistakes a person can make.

The photographs Jayce took in secret did help curb his desires. He quickly snapped a few while Viktor was asleep. It started with a couple and then his collection grew into just a handful he had initially kept in a shoebox. Two taped under the desk at work. Three kept in a locked drawer. A few kept at the forge in his toolbox. He kept a few in his room too, underneath his pillow. Just a few innocent photos that he used to look.
Jayce can't repress his urges any longer. He slips into his son's bedroom.

Summary
He breathes in the chill air, opening a textbook right where he finished yesterday. Formulas, exercises, theories, such basic, simple things that give Viktor hope that he can understand at least some part of this world. The general gas equation is a simple equation that shows how the temperature of the gas, its volume and pressure are related, and is used for the ideal gas, but it can still somewhat predict the behaviour of some real gases too. Maxwell's equations are a set of beautiful, breathtaking equations that show how magnetic and electric fields are connected within each other and how together they create an electromagnetic field. And so on and so forth. Physics can explain a lot of things.
But unfortunately, there is no equation that would explain why Jayce and Giopara did this to him and would predict all the future attempts.
