Duang notices several things at once:
1. The way Qin stops mid-laugh, his eyes dropping to Marvis’ exposed throat for just a second too long before he looks away and swallows, an expression on his face Duang knows far too well.
2. The way Jamie, when Duang turns to him, is watching Qin, having clearly noticed the reaction too, with a small, knowing smirk.
3. The way Marvis, who’s always composed, elegant, effortlessly in control of every room he steps into, is somehow this undone by Qin’s humor.
And, most of all:
4. The way Duang himself reacts to all of it: no jealousy, no hurt. Just… curiosity. And maybe even something like want.
So, naturally, he freaks out.Or, I took one for the team and wrote the duangqin/jamiemarvis poly fic.
