Summary
Winding down from a mission, Team 7 spends their night at the hot springs.
What starts out as Naruto trying to get closer to Sakura ends with him accidentally holding Sasuke's hand.
Instead of pulling away, however, he returns the gesture, leaving Naruto beyond confused and now set on to facing his convoluted feelings regarding Sasuke, and especially the way he can't stop staring at him.

Naruto blinked, his hands tucked lazily behind his head as he shuffled his legs. “Huh? What do you mean?”
“Why are you asking him, he doesn’t even have a girlfriend —“ Kiba’s obnoxious response came right away, without letting Naruto reconsider the question coming from Shikamaru, who scratched at his neck, peeved, his overwhelmed attitude of someone who wasn’t used to gifting women, or gifting anyone for that matter.
Naruto huffed, and turned to Kiba, falling back easily into his provocative remarks and Choji’s nonchalant agreement, while shoving another thin piece of chip into his mouth. “I don’t have a girlfriend yet, but I know damn well enough what women would like unlike you —“

Sasuke, walking a few paces ahead, didn’t look back. “You’ve said that three times already.”
“Because it does! We should be taking down rogue ninja or something, not—” He waved his hand vaguely. “Drinking tea with stuck-up nobles. They make you sit still for hours, and if you even blink the wrong way, some old dude gets offended and suddenly we’re banned from the country forever.”
They should have known a Team 7 mission would never go smoothly.
