She insists, rifling through her locker. Cady can still feel Regina’s eyes on her, and the weight of her presence. She’s always been an open book when it comes to Regina, ever since they met.
She doesn’t even have to push Cady to divulge things. Regina just looks at her, and suddenly, Cady’s mouth is moving by its own volition.
Once Cady shuts her locker, she turns back toward Regina, and God, she’s so beautiful. Her blonde locks are tousled, giving that look of messy perfection, and her winged eyeliner is flawless. Those signature black boots give her even more height over Cady than usual, as Regina looks down at her with something unreadable in her gaze.
“I was thinking, maybe I tell Gretch and Kare tomorrow, and tonight… it can be just us.”
Her voice is soft, and she looks almost nervous. This is kind of unsettling, because Regina George never shows any form of uncertainty.
Cady feels a huge wave of relief wash over her, which is confusing, because a night alone with Regina should incite the opposite. She likens it to a gazelle feeling at ease with a lion, stalking from a distance, getting closer and closer—
“Okay, what time?”
