Summary
In which Peter is Tony's biological son, but Tony chose not to be in his life until May and Ben passed away. Tony gets surprise custody of Peter right in the middle of the plot of Iron Man 2, and their first couple months together do not go well at all. Tony continues self-destructing and pushing everyone away, which now includes 14-year-old Peter.
They get through it, and Tony redeems himself. Peter doesn't easily let go of his abandonment and trust issues, though.

Or: Peter runs away after Ben dies. After six months of homelessness, he's found and placed with his biological father, who also happens to be his childhood hero, Tony Stark. Add hiding Spider-Man, a dangerous new villain that he's determined to take care of on his own, trying to bond with his father, all while keeping the dark secrets of his past on the streets hidden; Peter has found himself in a very complicated situation.

Summary
Peter is fine, anyways. His boss might fire him soon, the Avengers might arrest him soon, the principal might expel him soon, but none of it has happened yet. And his dad—
“You didn’t get my coffee,” his dad says, halfway through his burrito. He has been in a state of low, simmering irritation all evening, and apparently this is how long it took for him to find a reason to blame Peter for it.
“You didn’t tell me to get coffee.”
“Do you have eyes?”
“Yes,” Peter says. “I have eyes.”
“So you could have checked if we needed coffee without me telling you every little thing, Jesus Christ.”

Peter just wants to make it to sixteen so he can escape this life and strike out on his own. He has a plan and nothing will ruin it.

Summary
“Sorry,” Steve says. “I’m sorry, I know this doesn’t make any sense to you, but can I just–”
Eddie lets him approach, this time. Lets him reach out to touch, to curl his fingers in the hem of Eddie’s shirt.
“Sorry, I know I probably sound crazy, I just––” he pulls it up, stares at Eddie’s side, and then lets out a hysterical little noise that sounds like a cross between a laugh and a sob.
“You’re ok,” Steve says.
His fingers are hot on Eddie’s skin, pressed light and shockingly reverent to the space between his hip and rib cage.
“You’re ok,” he repeats. It sounds like he’s trying to convince himself.
“Hey,” Eddie says. It comes out more breathless than he’d prefer but Steve fucking Harrington has him backed against a wall in a bathroom with his hands up Eddie’s shirt so he thinks a little lack of air is warranted. “Are you ok?”
The fingers on his abdomen flex. "No,” Steve says. His eyes are wide and fathomless and the look on his face is terrible. “No, I’m not even remotely ok.”

Summary
After Peter's precarious position goes from bad to worse time and time again, he is left all alone with nothing but his anger and resentment at the world to keep him company. He wonders how much more he can take and whether the growing grudge between him and the Avengers will be enough to finish him off for good. Will he be able to complete his mission in time? Does he even want to anymore?
Of course. He is Spider-Man and he has a job to do. And he'll do it even if it kills him. For everyone else's sake.
