Ryuzaki answered immediately, in what many would’ve seen as a cold dismissal, but it raised many alarm bells in Light’s mind. Ryuzaki had called him Light. Not the usual ‘Light-kun’ he was used to, or even the occasional ‘Kira’ or ‘Kira-kun’ he would sometimes find himslf responding to when the older man felt cheeky. No, he had called him by his first name, no formalities and no hint of playfulness in his voice. The man had let something slip from his mind, meaning he must’ve been feeling dreadful.

“He will come.” Light stammered. The friction was driving him mad— the way the demon began to rub himself against Light. Lawliet’s hands continued to rummage their way through Light’s hair, and Light’s heart continued to race.
“He’s not coming, Light.” False pity seeped through the demon’s voice as he pried himself away from Light.
“But I’ll make sure you do.” The demon giggled as he knelt between Light’s thighs, hands squirming to the waistband of Light’s pants.
