This was not good, Lucifer should leave, and he cast his eyes around the dark space to see if there was anything he could do, if he could even vanish without making some sort of sound. Alastor would definitely know, and he couldn’t risk him finding out Lucifer was hiding in here. The other man wouldn’t think twice about unhinging his jaw and swallowing him whole, which was another image Lucifer didn’t need in his head right now.
He thought about causing an explosion somewhere in the hotel that would hopefully make Alastor stop what he was doing and actually fulfil his job as facility manager.
But something stopped him, a small, miniscule part of him that didn't want to ruin the peaceful atmosphere Alastor had going on right now. As much of a shit as he was, he deserved to relax sometimes, too. Maybe. Just a little bit.
The sound of Alastor’s belt buckle clinking also made him pause, and Lucifer’s neck snapped at how fast he turned it, eyes widening at the sight of the other man unfastening the metal with both hands as the cigarette burned gently in his mouth, caught loosely between his smiling lips.
Was he about to….oh he was.

It probably wasn’t very gentlemanly of him to turn up to his no-longer-enemies-but-barely-friends door with a hard-on already straining at the seams, although, now that he thought about it, it definitely wasn’t when he’d unintentionally organised his own peeping party for one, watching Alastor with hungry eyes as he touched himself.
But he figured Alastor wouldn’t mind, on account of him inviting Lucifer over with the intention of…doing something.

Summary
Given how and where and when Alastor grew up, he generally doesn't consider himself bad at math. There are all sorts of combinations of sums and division and multiplication he can do without the assistance of an adding machine. He first learned the skill while helping his maman scale up and down amounts in the kitchen. He encountered it again as he started to read music and transpose compositions between different keys for different instruments. Then he honed said skill keeping a close eye on what he should be earning for his hours of work versus what white men tried to pay him, not to mention how tips got allocated out amongst band members. So between cooking and music and money, he’s rather competent day-to-day.
In this particular instance, however, Alastor can admit that he has vastly miscalculated.
