Summary
I didn't really like how trollhunters ended, so consider this my rewrite.
Jim was a normal 15 year old, he hung out with his best friend Toby, spoke terrible Spanish, and crushed on Claire Nuñez, but after picking up a mysterious amulet in the canals Jim is thrust into a world of stony skin and dangerous nights.
In summary: Jim is the trollhunter, but the amulet turns him into a troll while wearing it and a human when not.

Summary
Jim panicked. He had just come down to Troll Market to answer a summons by Vendel, a terrifying feeling in and of itself. But he didn't expect the Heartstone to turn green!
And he definitely didn't expect the giant yeti...troll thing to emerge out of it with a boy in his arms.
Since when were ghosts a thing? And what do you mean we have to protect ghost royalty, Vendel? Jim sometimes wishes the Amulet of Daylight came with a terms and conditions waiver when he first picked it up months ago.

Danny should've known that his parents wouldn't accept his ghost-half. But he still revealed himself anyway, hoping against hope they'd still love him. But their violent reaction told him everything he needed to know, and now he can't stay in Amity Park for fear of being hunted in either form.
Tired, injured, and desperate, he escapes to the Far Frozen.
Frostbite calls in a centuries-old favor.

Summary
By the eighteenth jump back in time to save the world, James Lake Jr. was beyond tired. He was pretty sure he never slept anymore, and waking up to his alarm clock’s metallic screeching every reset didn’t help.
The sound of Jim’s alarm clock blaring was his least favorite sound in the world. The second was the sound of Merlin talking. Without opening his eyes, his hand bumped around his cluttered side table until his fingers brushed against the digital clock, then slammed a fist down on the snooze button.
Or: The Time Stone has fused itself to the Amulet, and every time Jim dies, the world restarts. The Amulet has chosen him as Trollhunter once again. All Jim wants is a long rest, and maybe some breakfast.
