Summary
London, the 1840s: Dean Winchester, newly released from prison, is in need of work. His brother, law clerk Sam Winchester, has a friend in need of a valet and lab assistant.

Castiel has built his life on control, on leverage, on negotiation. He makes choices with his eyes open and outcomes already accounted for. He understands power, and he knows how to use it.
What he doesn’t plan for is Dean Winchester, whose work blurs the line between survival and self-erasure, and whose lessons have always been learned the hard way.
