“Gali?” someone croaked, and she cracked her eyes open to find Lewa sitting on the other side of the room, his knees pulled to his chest. He looked abjectly miserable. And the marks... like lightning, a black mark traveled from his leg and all the way up to his torso. Spirits, he must have been jolted bad. And that's how he was trapped. They were taken, all of them. Picked off one by one and put in stasis. Teridax. Her anger made her mask hot and her head hurt. She closed her eyes again.
The Toa Mata were given to Mata Nui thousands of years ago as his personal guards, and, later, his friends and companions. Nothing ever came between them and that duty until they were lured to Metru Nui and never returned to Mata Nui's side. Now they've been saved and set free, and all they know is that they have to get back home.

No, he hadn't been asleep. It hadn't been that. Something else. Something important.
Sparda wakes up from his unwilling slumber and comes back to a risen Temen-ni-gru, compromised seal, and his children in the midst of things.
He doesn't know the full situation. But he'll be damned if he doesn't do anything about it.
