Armand shuddered, and he pulled back to gaze directly at Lestat, lips parted, plump, wet, and slightly curved upwards. Enormous amber eyes heavy-lidded and unblinking. Lestat would recognize that seductive, predatory look anywhere, in any century.
On cue, the alarm bells in his head started to go off. “Well, you recover quickly,” he made as if to place Armand back on his feet. Of course, the imp didn’t budge. Why would Lestat ever expect differently?
Never breaking eye contact, Armand lifted a finger. “Watch yourself,” Lestat whispered. Armand lowered his head and murmured against Lestat’s lips, “No, watch me.”
