The doctor sighs heavily. "You're the same place you'll always be, Tsvetok Yuuri. Now, do not lie to me: did you do this to yourself? Was this a bid for attention?"

Yuuri shakes his head. His heartbeat thumps in his ears.
"For your sake, and for your attendant's sake, I hope so. Our lord may not have much time for his garden, and I understand that your rank means you see him even less, but listen to me well: stunts like this will not impress, nor give you the attention you seek."
