Summary
When their nets filled, the ship lagged with their added weight. The aft jerked downwards, a surge of black water flooded the deck as a cresting wave shoved them aside.
Katsuki’s heartbeat thundered in his ears; there was a pair of high-pitched warbles that shattered the air. Young, effervescent voices crying out into the dark. By the shouts and jeers from the rest of the crew, Katsuki knew it wasn’t a school of mackerel flailing within their fibers.
His whole body froze, muscles locking as the unfamiliar sound of a captured mer drowned out the crew’s shouting. He barely registered what they were saying, hoping he could still save the mer before it was too late.Bakugou Katsuki is an expert on mer and he's sworn to protect them from pirates and poachers. He joins a pirate crew to sabotage their hunt and comes across the most beautiful mer he'd ever seen. He's forced to drastic measures to protect Deku, even at the cost of his own life.

Summary
“Midoriya is gone.”
FuuuuuUUUUCK.
This is literally the last, the LAST, thing he wants to deal with right now. He was sleeping so nicely, so warmly, so peacefully, and he has to deal with a not-actually-missing missing person?
Because here’s the thing, he’s not. Katsuki knows exactly where Deku is, but he’ll be damned if he's telling Aizawa-sensei that.
-*-
Or, Bakugo almost gets his shit rocked by Aizawa when Midoryia goes missing and he refuses to tell Aizawa where he is. Why? Because he has a damn good reason, that's why. Fuck you.

Summary
Izuku sighed, and then realized he produced bubbles when he did that. The discovery made him giggle. Katsuki must have glared at him despite being half slumped in the water.
“Sorry. Bubbles.”
“Bubbles?” Katsuki asked in an annoyed tone.
“Yeah…uhh - I sighed and… and it… just, just look.” He did it again.
Katsuki stared at him for a moment. So, Izuku sighed again, but this time he managed to force the bubbled from his neck gills only. It tickled, which triggered another round of giggles.
“Oh my god, you’re actually a fucking idiot.”
_____
OR: Izuku and Katsuki get kidnapped...again. This time, they're chained to an anchor offshore, and given a week to get back to the surface before the quirk allowing them to breathe underwater wears off. But, when the quirk gives them more than they bargained for, will they even want to go back?Loosely inspired by this song: https://youtu.be/0Hd94r6GClY

The Curse of Tarragon Mountain by Cardinal_Direction

Summary
Tarragon Mountain held a reputation, one it outwardly embraced with ominous towering black slopes and a jagged summit. All season a brutal blizzard accumulates before the annual winter day when the storm descends the slopes and holes up the village for months on end in a winter wonderland. Some rumors attributed the storm to a simple hiccup in nature, others claimed the mountain held the pathway to hell where creatures of dark magic frolicked and lured the unsuspecting.
Izuku was much fonder of the fairy-tale Inko would tell him as they huddled together through the cold winter nights.
She told him of a fair and noble dragon-blood king caught in a war between good and evil. She told him of another king, jaded and evil who sought to control power through abhorrent means. Included in the fable were a prophecy, an unfinished war, and an incomplete conclusion.
The good king lay to this day within the confines of Tarragon Mountain, cursed to forever slumber until a powerful omega, just as strong and intelligent as the king himself, would release the king from his slumber, free their people, and bring everlasting peace.
It was a nice fairy-tail, but Izuku had much more to worry about than a story... right?

Summary
After Katsuki apologized to Deku, they hadn't really gotten the chance to just exist with each other without some sort of life-threatening, world-saving shit going on.
So Katsuki is picking up where he left off by extending his hand to Deku in an offer to rekindle their friendship, if that’s what Deku wants. Of course, Deku very much wants that, but the degree which Deku wants Katsuki in his life comes as a bigger surprise to Katsuki than anyone thought it would.

Summary
"We're really sorry," his father says, in a teary-eyed, wobbly way. "But your friend, Izuku, he's... He's gone, son."
Katsuki can do nothing but blink up at them for moments that feel like an eternity, eyes darting between both his parents in obvious confusion, disbelief, and, more than anything, indignation.
"What the fuck are you two talking about? The damn nerd is standing right beside you!"During a battle, Midoriya gets hit by a villain whose quirk detaches his soul from his body. Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in this state is no one other than Kacchan.
Alternatively: Deku and Kacchan are soulbound.

Summary
The day the sun and the moon met, neither knew that the other held everything for them.
The sun and the moon had been meeting across time and space through this universe and the next, though this would perhaps be the most fraught with destruction. Their hearts were spitfire and their hands reached across chasms great and teeming with roaring waters; they knew many lives and many forms, but here in this place, they were two young boys connected by the threads of fate tangled around their souls, pulling them closer against thrashing branches and furious winds set to keep their tragedy away from the world for just a little bit longer. When Izuku was four, he met a boy in the City of Dragons.
When Katsuki is twenty-two, his soulmarking ceremony confirms his worst fear: Deku is his soulmate. The boy he hasn't seen in years.
The threads of fate bind their souls together through fire and tragedy, leaving naught but smoking ruins in their wake.
