Yet despite the immense importance of religion in a medieval society, the Faith of the Seven is one of the more barebones parts of the setting and lacks depth; there is very little history behind the faith and even less about its holidays, its practices and places of worship and all the other things that help make a religion into a religion. The Song of the Seven Sided Star is not a story, not in the traditional sense, but is rather a complete reimagining of the Faith of the Seven...and the impact it has to create a radically different Westeros where the knights of the Faith ride to protect their brothers and sisters of the Faith from Ironborn reavers, Northern invaders and Essosi slavers who serve a Freehold reborn under Aegon Targaryen and his sister wives.
