Summary
The war was supposed to end on Exegol. After Palpatine's death, Rey and Kylo save each other's lives before they're torn apart. Rey is taken back to the Resistance camp, while Hux finds and takes Kylo. But their bond doesn't break with the distance, it only grows stronger. Kylo has loved Rey from the beginning. For him, there is never any question about what she means to him. Rey, however, isn't so certain. She's spent years believing Kylo is a monster — the ruthless Supreme Leader she was taught to hate. But the more their bond deepens, the more Rey sees the man behind the title. She begins to realise that Kylo isn't everything the Resistance claimed he was, and that they aren't the heroes she always believed them to be.
Fighting her feelings only makes them stronger. What starts as a bond neither of them can escape becomes attraction, then love — filled with stolen touches, jealousy, arguments and a tension neither can ignore. When a star collapses, there are three stages: black hole, neutron star, white dwarf.
No one – well, almost no one – in the whole galaxy burns as brightly as Supreme Leader Ren. But all men, like stars, must die.
