Summary
Emerald's Semblance is all about lying, deceit. It's what allowed her to live on the streets for so long, lying and stealing to survive. Keeping her head down. People are not kind, and they are certainly not giving. Nothing is free, everything has a cost. If they can, they will take everything from you without a hint of remorse. She should know. She's a thief through and through.
That's probably why Jaune Arc baffles her so much. He gives his soul away every time he uses his Semblance. Giving it freely, healing and bolstering without a thought of what it might cost him. Even to someone he sees as his enemy. She doesn't understand it. People aren't like that. The world isn't so kind. Especially not to her.
Why then, when he and team RWBY return from the dead, is she so surprised and disturbed that it seems like his selfless giving finally took too much from him?

Summary
Peter Parker died at thirty—bitter, broken, and burdened by Venom’s hunger. No longer a hero, no longer a friend. Just another villain in the eyes of the world. An enemy to the Spider Society. A shadow of the boy who once believed in great power and great responsibility.
And then, he woke up.
A baby. A new life. A different world.
A world where heroes weren’t just masked vigilantes but government-sanctioned protectors. Where villains thrived in the open. Where quirks redefined what it meant to be special.
Peter wasn’t sure who he was anymore.
But this time, he’d live by his rules.
Even if the world wasn’t ready for him.

They rounded the corner into the hospital’s main lobby — and everything shattered.
Flashbulbs popped. Voices rose in a jagged wave. Dozens of reporters, camera crews, and spectators crowded the room like a wall of static.
“Invisigal! Over here!”
“Is it true you used to work for Shroud?”
“Did you fake your redemption arc?”
“Did you really blackmail Blonde Blazer into giving you your job?”
Courtney froze. Just for a second. Just long enough to feel the blood drain from her face.
----
After defeating Shroud, the Z-Team faces public backlash from the decision to spare his life. Invisigal has to learn to see herself as a hero, while Robert Robertson has to find a balance between dispatching and Mecha-Man.Formerly titled "Promise of Another Life".

Summary
Robert Robertson finds himself in a bit of a unexpected pickle; he's somehow managed to acquire the romantic affections of both SDN's Blonde Blazer, a stunning and selfless heroine for the ages, and also the Phoenix Programs' Invisgal, god's strongest walking HR violation. Torn between the traditional hero with a heart of gold and the rough around the edges tomboy working to improve herself, asking out either option seems like a recipe for disaster...
Of course, he's not the only one with a say in the matter, right?
Or: Invisigal and Blonde Blazer team up to seduce SDN's newest dispatcher.
