Summary
Mike knows he's not gay. He's known that for years, sure he's rather close with his best friend but really who isn't? The problem is that lately his closeness with his friend has been confusing him, and he wonders if there's anything he can do to test these thoughts. After a conversation with Dustin he decides that there's only one solution, he has to watch gay porn. It's the only way for him to ultimately prove to himself that he's not gay, and if his best friend wants to tag along for the ride, who is he to stop him?

But he just can't seem to get Vecna's visions out of his head. Enter Mike.

Will holds his breath and waits. Waits for Mike to take back the offer, to say he was joking, to say that was a stupid idea. But he doesn’t. He simply stares at Will and bites his lip, as if awaiting Will’s judgment.
“I’m not sure…”
“I mean, friends can do it,” Mike adds, running a hand through his hair. “It’s not like— it’s just, it can calm your body.”
After being on heat suppressants for a few months, Will begins experiencing symptoms of a phantom heat. Mike, an alpha, offers to help relieve the symptoms by scenting him. As a friend. Totally as friends.

Summary
He can’t even justify it as desperation. If he were well and truly desperate to move out of Shiro’s place, it would have happened by now. He’s had other options, he’s had people offer, it’s not like he’s backed into a corner and living out of his car. But if it’s not desperation, what exactly is it? A sick, morbid type of curiosity to know Lance better, to expose himself to the same hurt he’s already felt by getting attached to the other boy? Is it still attraction pulling him in like a moth to a flame, despite all that’s happened and how he knows they’re a terrible match? He isn’t sure.
He does, however, catch himself pulling on his best outfit before stepping out the door to go and meet Lance in the park. So maybe that’s an answer in itself.
