    Summary

“Perhaps the seeds of madness are sown in the womb.”

Not for Aerion, no. Nor for Egg. But Daeron had always known. Since he was small, he saw the tapestries upon the walls burn above his cradle, and he knew. Drink or delirium, it did not matter. One way or another, his visions would be the death of him.

He had not reckoned he would have to suffer more than one.

The gods want something from Daeron. They must, to have devised so exceptional a hell. For why else would they have him live these days over and over?

If they have chosen Daeron to change the future, they have chosen the wrong man. Daeron is not a hero. He never has been.

    Summary

And yet, as Michael drank from him with both hands clinging and his mouth open like a prayer, David thought, almost deliriously, perhaps this was Michael’s first kill. Not a throat torn open in darkness or a nameless body cooling at his feet, but David himself offered between his hands, tasted from his lips, his very flesh taken into the heat of a mouth whose tongue moved against him, sacred and ruinous at once. But, David would rather walk straight into the blinding sun than have this once and lose it.

He would rather lay a heavy crucifix on his tongue and let the blessed metal burn through every whisper and moan of Michael’s name.

He would rather kneel in holy water until his immortal skin split to the bone, let sanctified oil soak into every damned seam of him, and let holy flame lick him clean down to raw ash, than return to forever with the memory of Michael.

Max held David’s gaze. “You will own him the way you wanted.” His words came gently. “All the way down to his flesh.”

A fix-it fic where David and the boys live, Star gets a happy ending while being a little manipulative (I love her though), and Michael is a lost puppy.

    Summary

“It’s just about practice,” David says slowly. “And I can give you that.”

“What do you mean?” Michael asks. He’s turned back to face David. A promising sign.

“I mean, you can practice. On me.” He bares his teeth, bites at the empty air, and turns it into a winning smile. Angles his face to the side and jerks a thumb at his own neck. “Maybe it’ll help, to get a feel for it first. Might make the real thing easier.”

“Yeah, right,” Michael says unsteadily. “It’s your blood that got me into this mess in the first place.”

His eyes are locked on David’s neck, though. David can see his throat working as he swallows hard. There’re the logical objections, and then there’s what even the mention of blood can conjure up for them. Logic doesn’t really stand a chance.

“So what’s the harm in a little more?” David says casually.
