"We received transmission from Rio's shuttle a few hours ago."
Agatha shoots up to her feet, suddenly wide awake. More awake than she's ever been in her life, in fact.
"Like...you know where it is? It's drifted back into the solar system? Or-"
"No, Agatha, it was heading back down to Earth. Piloted.”
Agatha can hardly breathe. Her heartbeat pounds in her ears. She used to fantasise about this exact conversation in the early years. Is it possible she's still asleep? Is she dreaming?
"Are...are you saying that-?"
"Yes, Agatha. I'm calling to tell you that Rio is alive."
Rio is an astronaut who’s dedicated her life to developing humanity’s understanding of the cosmos. When NASA asks her to join a pivotal expedition to study a black hole, she leaves her wife and son despite the fact Agatha begs her to stay.
When she returns she finds that a week in space was fifteen years for Agatha and Nicky.

Rio clicked her pen shut, set her notebook down on the side table next to her and leaned forward in her seat, resting her elbows on her knees before speaking. “I want you both to know that this only works if you want it to work. I’m here to facilitate a productive conversation between you two. To find a way through whatever it is that you may be struggling with. There are no right or wrong answers here, no one is the hero or the villain. So, please, I need you both to contribute in order to move forward.” Rio’s eyes flickered between the women as she spoke.
Wanda simply smiled and nodded.
Agatha rolled her eyes and scoffed under her breath something similar to “fucking hell.”
Rio had to hide her smirk. Oh this was gonna be fun.

“Alright, fine. I’ll play” Agatha nodded, rolling her shoulders back as a subtle smirk raised her lips. She wasn’t letting Rio reply before the idea that subtly sparked in her mind jumped out of her. “But, let's make this interesting”
“Oh?”
“Whoever loses,” She started, pushing her pointer finger against Rio’s sternum. “Has to take off whatever piece of clothing the winner tells them to”
Rio paused for a brief moment, seemingly letting the words sink in to digest them. Agatha knew there’d be no argument. Not a chance. The best part about all this though? Her wife had zero idea Agatha was a master at the game thanks to Nicky forcing her to play for years, and Agatha had no plans on telling her either.
“Strip poker, but Mortal Kombat edition?” Rio smirked, excitement bubbling within.
Agatha shrugged,
“If you think you can handle it”
And oh, it was on. So fucking on.
