    He clamps his mouth shut before the last syllable can fall into the air—

    He thinks about what it would mean to say it.

    Not just that he missed the games, or the fights, or the rooftop silences that used to feel sacred.

    But him.

    The version of him that looked at Izuku like they were tethered. The version that used to sit too close and never apologize. The version that would’ve met him halfway, every time, if only Izuku had known how to ask.

    He can’t say it.

    Not now.

    Not with Katsuki sitting three inches away in a shirt that smells like home. Not with Haru’s things still folded in the corner.

    It’s 2008 when Izuku Midoriya returns to Fujita, hoping a little peace might quiet the ache he never learned to name. Katsuki Bakugou shows up not long after—restless, still angry, and still pretending he doesn’t remember the night they fell apart.

    They’re both 26. Both taken. Both pretending they’re over it.

    But the past has its own gravity. And some tides never really go out.

    The Underground: a network of vigilantes supported and directed by the Hero Commission to assist in maintaining the structure of Hero Society through any means necessary.

    Izuku descended into the Underground after the War, a quirkless medic with no future. Presented with a deal of a lifetime. He entered the doors of Illusion and into the laps of Heroes spilling all their secrets and wants. Strings of Hero Society plucked by the Commission while Izuku and his crew deal with criminals in forgotten areas of the city. Whatever missions the Commission throws at them just a bonus.

    There are whispers of a new threat growing in the city and, to make matters worse, Izuku finds himself with the eyes of the Number One hero on him. A slippery slope into something Izuku can't escape.

    If there’s anything Izuku has learned as a vigilante and spy, it’s that everything is not what it seems.

    Following an accident during an earthquake, quirkless nursing student Izuku finds himself in another version of reality. For the most part, things seem pretty much the same… except Hawks has blue wings, his favourite ramen shop has a different name and oh, there are no old people out and about.

    Izuku barely has chance to figure out what is horribly wrong with this version of the world before he’s taken prisoner by the government, who are in a state of panic trying to find a cure to a "disease" crippling the nation.

    When he wakes up in a secure clinic, a set of tired but beautiful eyes greet him and over time, fill his heart with warmth... and a passionate desire to escape.
