“You were the first one in the room! First person in the boot room’s meant to do the Will check.”
“Yeah, well, that’s the first I’ve heard that rule.” Jamie rolls his eyes before turning back to Will. The nerves at being caught seem to have vanished, from him if not Roy, and he gives Will a once-over that makes him squirm. “What are we gonna do with you, William?”

Hawkeye drew a big breath, blinking away the tears.
When he looked down on his hands, there was no actual blood. There were, however, small pieces of what seemed to be flower petals, tiny, oval and green with red tips. They hadn’t been there before. He checked his mask, and there it was again — no blood, only some torn up petals.
He sat down, dumbfounded. Between the petals in his hands, in his mask and on the ground, one could almost make a full flower.
